Viola canina ( Dog Violet) Grown throughout Europe and North America, also found as far a field as Iran and Japan, but widely grown in the UK in our hedgerows and lanes.It often grown in small groups in woodlands Attracts butterflies and is food for many larvae. Milky blue flowers on 3 to 4 inch stems,with heart shaped oval leaves Flowers have no fragrance. In UK and europe it has a later flowering season often flowering from April into June
