Originating on the eastern seaboard of Canada and the USA, the heart shaped leaves of dark green turn almost purple in colour as the tiny blue flowers bloom in May/June in the UK

Being only 3 inches in height it is excellent for ground cover and seeds itself quite freely. Grows in sun or shade.
